Terms of use

What you get for the money, what we ask of you, and how either of us ends it.

What you are paying for

A licence to use Temp & Major on the number of machines your plan allows, for as long as you keep paying. You are not buying the software and you cannot resell or redistribute it.

Every plan includes the whole product. Plans differ in how much music you can keep in your library and how many machines you can be signed in on at once.

Trial
14 days, one seat, 10,000 tracks, no card
Party
$20 a month, one seat, 1,000 tracks
Resident
$60 a month, two seats, 10,000 tracks
Stage
$200 a month, five seats, no library cap

Billing and cancellation

Plans are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel from the billing page in your account at any time; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full use until then.

Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. If a payment fails, Stripe retries — we do not cut you off during those retries, because a declined card should not end a residency.

We do not refund part-months by default. If something we did stopped you working, write to us and we will sort it out.

If we raise a price, existing subscribers are told at least 30 days before it applies to them, and cancelling before that date costs nothing.

Your music and your work

Your music files stay on your own machine. Importing them into a library changes nothing about who owns them or what licence you hold, and we neither upload them nor listen to them.

Making sure you have the right to play what you play is yours to do. We do not clear performance rights, and nothing in the product grants any.

Sets, projects and recordings you make are yours. Cancelling does not delete them — they are files on your machine, and they stay there.

Playing without a connection

Access is renewed while you are online and then holds for up to 30 days offline, so a venue with no working Wi-Fi is not a problem.

Expiry never interrupts audio that is already playing and never refuses to save a recording in progress. A set that has started, finishes.

Going over a limit, and going down a plan

Passing your library limit stops new imports. Every project you have already built keeps opening and keeps working.

Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything. If you end up over the new limit, you keep what you have and cannot add more until you are under it again.

What we promise, and what we do not

The software is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of defects, and we do not promise it will suit a particular booking.

What the planner suggests is a suggestion. It has measured tempo, key and loudness; it has not heard the music, and it does not know your room. Every choice is yours to accept or reject before anything is applied.

Where the law allows us to limit it, our liability to you is capped at what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending it

You can stop at any time from your billing page. We can end an account for non-payment, or for using the product to break the law — with notice, and with a refund of anything paid for time not used.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States.
