Licence terms
What you can and cannot do with a licensed product.
What the licence grants
A perpetual right to run the product under your own brand, for your own customers, in any market. You get the source, you can modify it, and your customers and revenue are yours entirely. We take no revenue share.
Limits
- Exclusivity
- Non-exclusive, capped at four licences per country
- Resale
- You cannot resell or sub-licence the source itself
- Platform fee
- Monthly, covers updates and support; cancel and you keep running the version you have
- Trademark
- The product name stays ours; you launch under your own
Licensing a prototype
A prototype can be licensed on the same terms, at a lower fee, with one difference stated plainly: the "live in two to three weeks" timeline on our launched products assumes a product that has already been through a launch. On a prototype the remaining work is real, and we scope and quote it with you before you sign rather than after.
Updates
While the platform fee is active you get every update we ship to the base product and help merging it into your fork. Stop paying and nothing switches off; you simply stop receiving updates.
Buying out a licence
If a licensed product becomes central to your business you can buy it outright. The licence fee already paid comes off the acquisition price.
