What transfers on an acquisition, what does not, and where the line sits on a licence.
Acquisitions
Everything: the application code, designs, brand, domains, store listings, customer data and the customer relationships. The listing comes down permanently and we do not build a competing product in that category for two years.
Licences
You own your fork, your brand and your customers. We keep the base product and the right to licence it to others within the cap. Nothing you build on top of the source is ours.
Our tooling
Internal libraries and infrastructure patterns come with a perpetual licence to use inside the product you bought. They are not sold exclusively because they are in everything we build.
Showing the work
We ask before naming you as a buyer and take it down if you change your mind. Sale prices are never published without written permission.
