Privacy and data
We hold your data as a buyer, and until handover, the data of the customers using the product you are buying.
Your data
Name, company, billing details and everything written in your enquiries. Card details sit with Stripe and never touch our servers. We do not sell any of it and we do not use it to train anything.
When you send an enquiry or join a waitlist we store what you typed, the product it was about, and enough technical detail to stop abuse: a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser’s user agent, and the page you came from. The IP address itself is never stored.
- Region
- United States (Ohio). Product data may sit elsewhere per listing
- Backups
- Daily, encrypted, kept 30 days
- Deletion
- Removed within 30 days of a written request
Waitlists
A waitlist holds your email address and the product you asked about, and nothing else. We use it to tell you when that product moves and for no other purpose. One link in every message removes you, and removal means deletion rather than a suppression flag.
Customer data in a listing
Data rooms contain aggregates and anonymised samples, never a customer list. Real customer records transfer only at the final step of handover, under a data processing agreement signed before contracts.
Requests and breaches
If a regulator or court asks us for your data we tell you first unless legally forbidden. If there is a breach affecting a product you own we tell you within 24 hours of confirming it.
